Design Considerations
There are several things to keep in mind when designing a part for welding & fabrication.
- Welding can cause warping and distortion of the parts, so high dimensional accuracy is hard to maintain.
- Not all materials can be welded.
- Parts that are different materials can not always be welded or brazed together.
- Welding thin materials to thick materials can be difficult and increase the price.
